1. Sign in Assistance

Your LOGIN is usually your email that you used to sign up. Your PASSWORD was sent to you in an email when you signed up. If you need a new password, click on the link on the login page (link in top right of this screen) that says " Forgot you password?"

2. Set up your address book.

Enter an address just like you do to get Internet driving directions. BizMile saves all your addresses from year to year so you only have to enter them once. When you make a trip, you just select one from your list.

1)Enter it in the Address Book
2) Enter and address from YTD (year to date) screen in the Trip Wizard
3) Enter an address in the new way using Trip Builder

NEW - Batch import of addresses is available. MS Outlook, Gmail, and many others can be automatically imported with a "CSV" file made from your address book program's bnvexport. Once it is imported, the entry may have a red flag at the left of its line. This means BizMile needs more information to "geocode" it. You can use Google Search for this. Search for the business by its name, if Google finds it, you can import it directly by clicking on the red pin and then the green button. It is easy and fast too.

Addresses with a red flag cannot be used (and therefore not shown as available) when making a trip in the other modules. Fix red flagged addresses in the Address Book by clicking on them to edit or click on the edit icon.

3. Trip Wizard.

In the Year to Date Screen ( YTD blue button at the top of the screen)

a. Select a day from the calendar by clicking on a date.
b. From your Address Book, select a "Trip from" address. This is the place that you started from.
c . From your Address Book, select a "Trip to" address. This is the place that you went to.

BizMile then calculates and tallies your deduction automatically.

4. Extras - Repeat Trip.

If you made a trip many times this month, create one trip. Then select it - the whole line highlights. Then click the cell just under the column header called "Repeat Trip". You then get a special calendar that accepts multiple dates. Select the dates you drove this trip, finish by clicking "Done". The trip repeats itself and adds to your savings.

5. Extras - Multi-stop Trips.

When you are making a trip in the Trip Wizard, the second leg or "Trip to" has an additional button. It is called " Add Another Leg". Select this instead of "Done" and you will add a 3rd destination or "leg" to that trip. You can keep adding "Legs" if you have alot of deliveries. When you have completed your appointments click the "Done" button.

6. Odometer Calculator.

Enter a beginning mileage number from your car odometer on January 1st - or estimate it. What matters is the total quantity of mileage that you drove each car for each year. Now estimate an ending figure (you can always change it later in the year.) BizMile will calculate the percent use for your car for 3 categories that are of interest to your tax professional. They need this number to help you on your taxes.

If you have more than one car to track, add it with the "Add another car" button. It works just like the first one. Having a second car will create a new column in the YTD screen (Year to date.) Choose which car made the trip there.

7. Trip Builder

Trip Builder is a NEW way to enter multi-stop trips. It is a drag and drop interface with an integrated map locator. Click on the address and drag it to the Trip Builder screen. You can reorder stops by dragging them around.
